Life on the tree

​

The site is located at Ithaca Gorge on a slight slope facing the river. It is covered with rich vegetation and famous as a tranquil, natural retreat area for strolling, meditating and relaxing. The design derives from the concept of being respectful to the existing context, especially being humble to the nature. By tracing tree location, investigating tree growth, learning the relation between trees and environment, the design form is followed by leaving minimal disturbance of existing trees as possible.
